How to construct a statement in Prolog?

I’m new to Prolog, please bear with me. I tried to write this in Prolog
/Creates a statement/ :- object(s([X,Y,Z], [X,Y,Z]))

?- create_statement(X,Y,Z).

Output: [X,Y,Z]

Though I got this to work, but when I actually try to create a statement. It fails. To me it is logical:
?- create_statement(X,Y,Z).

I just don’t know how to construct a statement. In logic it would be something like

Where as in prolog that’s what I don’t know how to do.
I tried for example
/(create(X,Y,Z))-object(s([X,Y,Z], [X,Y,Z]))

But that didn’t work either. Is there an easy way to construct a statement?


The Syntax of Prolog allows you to use several different ways to represent the same thing. In your example, you use an object-oriented approach to construct a Term. You use the backticks (`) to define Term and the Prolog Interpreter will resolve it to the variable you have given in the backtick position.
