AutoCAD (Latest)

Equipped with the right applications, a computer can be of great help in virtually any domain of activity. When it comes to designing and precision, no other tool is as accurate as a computer. Moreover, specialized applications such as AutoCAD give you the possibility to design nearly anything ranging from art, to complex mechanical parts or even buildings.
Suitable for business environments and experienced users
After a decent amount of time spent installing the application on your system, you are ready to fire it up. Thanks to the office suite like interface, all of its features are cleverly organized in categories. At a first look, it looks easy enough to use, but the abundance of features it comes equipped with leaves room for second thoughts.
Create 2D and 3D objects
You can make use of basic geometrical shapes to define your objects, as well as draw custom ones. Needless to say that you can take advantage of a multitude of tools that aim to enhance precision. A grid can be enabled so that you can easily snap elements, as well as adding anchor points to fully customize shapes.
With a little imagination and patience on your behalf, nearly anything can be achieved. Available tools allow you to create 3D objects from scratch and have them fully enhanced with high-quality textures. A powerful navigation pane is put at your disposal so that you can carefully position the camera to get a clearer view of the area of interest.
Various export possibilities
Similar to a modern web browser, each project is displayed in its own tab. This comes in handy, especially for comparison views. Moreover, layouts and layers also play important roles, as it makes objects handling a little easier.
Sine the application is not the easiest to carry around, requiring a slightly sophisticated machine to properly run, there are several export options put at your disposal so that the projects itself can be moved around.
Aside from the application specific format, you can save as an image file of multiple types, PDF, FBX and a few more. Additionally, it can be sent via email, directly printed out on a sheet of paper, or even sent to a 3D printing service, if available.
To end with
All in all, AutoCAD remains one of the top applications used by professionals to achieve great precision with projects of nearly any type. It encourages usage with incredible offers for student licenses so you get acquainted with its abundance of features early on. A lot can be said about what it can and can't do, but the true surprise lies in discovering it step-by-step.

AutoCAD is a versatile application for the drafting and design of 2D and 3D drawings, schematic diagrams, pipe and valve layouts, and more. In many cases, AutoCAD users need to prepare and modify drawings using a design package or product other than AutoCAD. These other applications may be proprietary programs (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw), or it may be an interoperability product (e.g., AutoCAD LT). Some companies have their own in-house product or an off-the-shelf product that can connect to AutoCAD to import data.

For the most part, you must use AutoCAD (by itself or with AutoCAD LT or AutoCAD LT for Microsoft Windows) to view, create, or edit the various DWG, DXF, PDF, and DWF files that are the output of these other CAD programs and products.

Note: Although many people use the term “AutoCAD” to refer to AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, and AutoCAD LT for Microsoft Windows, in this article, “AutoCAD” will refer to only AutoCAD.

AutoCAD 2023 24.2 [Latest 2022]

Each drawing file in AutoCAD has an associated author, a change number, a title, a comment, and a date. The DWG editor can be used to add layers and manage group visibility. The drawing is organized as layers, which are defined by blocks (lines, arcs, circles, etc.) and related properties, such as dashed lines, hatch patterns, colors, opacity, and filling. Layers and blocks can also be grouped into named layers and named blocks (or groups), allowing multiple blocks to be treated as a single layer. The layers, groups, and blocks can also be tagged, allowing them to be sorted in a table view. The blocks can also be offset and rotated.

Technical concepts

Autodesk AutoCAD uses a block-based graphics file format called DWG (Design Web Graphics). A DWG drawing file contains “blocks” (a specialized type of geometric object) which contain geometric data. A block can have a number of properties, including a hatch, color, thickness, linetype, and fill pattern. The data for a block is serialized in a “block definition file” (BDL) or XML, which is created and maintained when the file is loaded into AutoCAD. A drawing is a 2D document in this format, containing a collection of blocks. In a typical setup, a single CAD file will contain only one type of drawing, but will include many instances of a drawing. In this way, the CAD file format provides a more detailed specification than a document format like PDF, since the former is designed to allow reuse of data in a flexible and optimized manner. A project, a design, or an iteration of a design can be defined as a set of blocks, either a DWG file or a collection of blocks, serialized in an XML format. Each block can be grouped together as a layer, and blocks can also be grouped into layers that are then called “named layers”, which allow a collection of blocks to be treated as a single layer.

A file in AutoCAD is made up of layers, which define how the drawing is viewed and how objects are grouped, plus a drawing area for the displayed file. Layers can be either visible or hidden. Visible layers affect the data in the drawing, and hidden layers are ignored for rendering purposes. A model is a blueprint or design-based specification for a product. It can be represented in DWG, PDF, CSV, HTML, or other data formats

I have a slightly newer X-Pro 2. When i take off the X-pro case and slip it on my E-pl3, the standard zoom doesn’t work. But if i download a software update to the X-Pro 2 and then put the X-Pro case back on, the zoom works. How can I get the zoom on the E-pl3 to work while using the X-Pro case?

Check your manual for the settings page in the X-Pro 2 section. In the right bottom corner, you should see “Manual Zoom” and a symbol of the most common foci, or the “L-A” symbol. If you don’t see that, then click the MENU button on the right side of the device. In the MENU section, click SETTINGS, then VIEW and then SETTINGS to navigate to that page.

There you’ll see how you control the zoom on the camera. I hope this helps.

I just want to say that I had a similar problem on the Xpro1 (where I couldn’t take it off the E-PL3) the problem was that on the Xpro1 the zoom was stuck at –
